Bethesda, MD (July 1, 2013) – Association TRENDS is set to release the Association Social Media Report: 2013, this month to provide association social media coordinators a detailed look at competing and peer institutions’ social media efforts.
The report takes an in-depth look at a sample of 345+ associations’ Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Pinterest activity. Out of the 345+ associations, 95% use some form of social media, and this percentage is growing.
“With the rising popularity of social media as a membership engagement tool, it is vital for association executives to know how their social media activity compares to others in the industry. There is a huge risk of falling behind and becoming less relevant to members if you aren’t aware of the existing trends.” remarked Joel Poznansky, President of Columbia Books Inc., parent company of Association Trends.
The Association Social Media Report: 2013 includes the following data on over 345 associations:
-
Associations’ adoption levels of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and Pinterest overall broken down by association size and scope, sector, and member type.
-
The changes in associations’ Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube adoption rates over the past year, broken down by association size and scope, sector, and member type.
-
Rankings of the Top 25 Associations in each of the 5 social media platforms.
-
Average activity levels and how those averages changed between 2012 and 2013.
-
Detailed tables of each association’s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Pinterest activity.
