Bethesda, Md. | December 11, 2016  Paul Archambeault, Senior Vice President, Chief Financial and Operating Officer of Airlines for America (A4A), has been named the 2016 Nonprofit CFO Transformational Leaders. He will be honored at the 2016 Nonprofit CFO of the Year Awards Luncheon on February 5 at The Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington, DC.

“Paul Archambeault was a leader in A4A’s transformation, including restructuring our team, our dues, our bylaws and our focus as an advocacy organization, and he is truly deserving of this honor,” said Nicholas E. Calio, president and CEO of Airlines for America. “In addition to the work within A4A, Paul played an instrumental role in standing up the Known Crewmember program, which uses risk-based security and creates a separate screening lane for pilots and flight attendants, improving security and shortening airport security lines for customers. As a result of his work, we are far more focused and better able to serve our members and the flying and shipping public.

Paul Archambeault was named Senior Vice President, Chief Financial and Operating Officer of Airlines for America (A4A) in September 2014.

In this role, Mr. Archambeault manages support services and all administrative and finance/treasury and IT functions and business services. He also manages the A4A defined-benefit and defined-contribution plans.

Archambeault joined A4A in 1991 as a staff auditor and has held management roles in finance, operations and aviation security. He also served as Director of the Aviation Millennium Project, the industrywide initiative to ensure that all airline operations were Y2K compliant. He was named Vice President, Chief Financial officer and Treasurer in October 2003.

A native of Virginia Beach, Va., Archambeault holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Old Dominion University and a master’s degree in financial management from George Mason University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

About the Nonprofit CFO of the Year Awards: Each year the CFO Awards recognize the often unsung leadership role CFOs have in the important works nonprofits do, working generally behind the scene as a key supporter of the executive director, to keep the organization moving forward. The program is hosted in joint partnership with Association TRENDS, Tate & Tryon and West, Lane & Schlager Realty Advisors.
