Washington, DC (June 7, 2016) – Today the Advocacy Day Assistant app was awarded second place in the Best Mobile Smartphone App (Native) category of the SIPAwards, presented this week at the Specialized Information Publishers Association annual conference in Washington.
Columbia Books & Information Services’ Government Relations and Advocacy division, partnered with with developers at NWYC and fly-in expert Stephanie Vance of Advocacy Associates to launch the Advocacy Day Assistant (ADA) app in 2015. The fully-customizable smartphone app allows association and corporate government relations staff to schedule, coordinate and update Hill meetings with ease. Each advocate receives a custom schedule and in-depth detail on Members and their meetings that can be updated throughout the fly-in. Fly-in planners can upload talking points, communicate with advocates and get real-time feedback throughout a fly-in. Each app is also customized with the user organization’s branding.
“After years of working with clients to create custom branded advocacy tools with our line of US Congress Handbooks, the natural next step was to develop an app,” stated Joel Poznansky, CEO of Columbia Books & Information Services. “Winning a SIPAward is great validation for all of the hard work we have put into the app.”
