Allison A. Ingram, Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), named 2017 Association CFO of the Year

Bethesda, MD. – Allison A. Ingram, Director of Finance, Administration & Operations with the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) has been named the 2017 Association CFO of the Year. She will be honored at the 2017 Nonprofit CFO of the Year Awards Luncheon, October 24 at The Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington DC.

Allison is a proven association executive with a passion for ensuring the financial health and well-being of organizations so they can best achieve their mission and visions and make a difference. In her role with SAME, Ingram leads the 29,000-member organization’s financial direction, working closely with the Executive Director, a former U.S. Army general, and a National Board of Direction comprised of 47 voting volunteer leaders, including senior members within the U.S. military and defense industry. She is also in charge of day-to-day internal functions of the 25-person National Office staff and oversees the financial and legal stewardship of the SAME Foundation, which she helped establish in 2016. Ingram joined SAME in August 2015 from the National Society of Accountants, where she served as Vice President of Finance & Administration. Before that, she was a Human Resources Manager at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Ingram began her career in public accounting with Arthur Anderson. A 1995 graduate of The College of William & Mary, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration and was a member of the Beta Alpha Psi Honor Society, Ingram lives in Alexandria, Va., with her husband, also an association executive, and teenage daughter. She is originally from Virginia Beach, Va., where she is a member of her high school’s Athletics Hall of Fame for her success in field hockey.


The 2017 Association CFO of the Year will be honored at the Nonprofit CFO of the Year Awards Luncheon, October 24 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington DC. Also to be honored at the event are the 2017 Rising Star of the Year, the 2017 Philanthropic CFO of the Year, and the 2017 Nonprofit CFO of the Year.
