Bethesda, MD (6/19/18) – Association TRENDS, a division of CBIS, was awarded first place in the “Best Learning Product” category for the Nonprofit Board Training; Financial Literacy and Regulatory Compliance Skills program at the Specialized Information Publishers Association’s SIPAwards on June 6th in Washington D.C.
AT’s Nonprofit Finance Board Training program is designed to give nonprofit board members the year-round financial training they need. Many board members willingly give their time, money, and talents to help lead organizations but are not fully trained in all the intricate and complex aspects of nonprofit finance. Nonprofit board members are vital to the success of the organizations they serve and hold important professional, legal, and financial responsibilities which is why comprehensive training is so important.
Association TRENDS’ created the Nonprofit Finance Board Training Program to be completely customizable and combine expert-led training with ongoing eLearning to strengthen existing and future board members understanding of the unique financial structure of nonprofits as well as their individual roles and responsibilities. The course is created to fit the unique needs of each individual organization and its board.
Sessions within each program include; understanding financial statements, reviewing IRS Form 990s, an overview of rules on restricted and unrestricted funds, statements analysis, financial indicators, important compliance issues, fiduciary responsibilities of the board, and myths surrounding nonprofit finance. The Nonprofit Finance Board Training program breaks downs these important facets to verify that every board member has the same baseline of knowledge.
AT is thrilled to have received this award and excited for this opportunity to further connect associations with this incredibly valuable, award-winning program.
